The AAU Youth Sports Program is one of the largest and most successful amateur youth sports programs in the United States. Thirty national championships also take place with the showcase event being the AAU/USA Junior Olympic Games, recognized as the largest annual multi-sport competition in the country. Many of the USA's current and past collegiate, professional, and Olympic basketball greats through the years received their first taste of elite competition at the AAU National Championships.
